Pool tables provide a pub with an important USP. Pool is one of the few offerings that is not easily available at home, like gambling, satellite sports or even drinking.
Given this attraction it is sensible to maximise a pool table’s potential both to take money and contribute to overall site revenues. TriBand pricing for the first time, enables any site to do this without the need for mains power.
· Site footfall varies through the day and the week. Peak times at weekends may see queues of players waiting to play, while weekday afternoons and early evenings may see tables lying idle.
· SAM TriBand tables can deliver 3 different prices in the course of a day. Effectively, a morning, afternoon and evening tariff. Additionally, each day of the week can be allocated to one of two weekly bands. Thus, two daily pricing regimes can be alternated on any combination of days.
· The Price of Play can be increased during peak times when customers are less price sensitive. Just 20p increase on Friday & Saturday night could realise an extra £500 annually. The knock on effect may also be to encourage keen players to arrive earlier and take advantage of the off peak pricing, effectively increasing the total number of games played by lengthening the playing day.
· When the pub would normally be quiet, a discounted or even freeplay period can be scheduled to increase general site footfall. Lower pool pricing may actually give greater revenue, and greater food and drink sales encouraged.
· Scheduled freeplay can be used to restrict any free pool offered to League players. Ensuring they are not benefitting from free pool when paying customers could be playing.
· The other flexibility offered by SAM tables is timed play. Rather than altering the price of a game, bonus play can be provided during promotion periods by delivering a number of minutes when any number of games can be played. During this period the balls can be continually re-vended.
