The playing surface of this American shuffleboard 12ft measures 300 cm in length, 50.8 cm in width, and 2.8 cm in thickness. The shuffleboard itself has a length of 370 cm, a width of 75 cm, and a height of approximately 83 cm. The edges of the frame stand at 7.2 cm in height. Both the frame and legs of this shuffleboard are crafted from black-painted ash wood, with the gutter also painted black. Similar to the frame, the playing surface of the shuffleboard is made of ash wood, oiled to showcase its natural colour, creating a striking contrast with the black frame. The lines and numbers on the playing surface are laser-engraved. The legs of the shuffleboard are equipped with leveling feet, allowing you to always set the shuffleboard perfectly level. The American shuffleboard is easy to assemble, attach the legs, and you’re ready to play!
To play shuffleboard, you’ll need speed wax, a powder applied to the playing surface. Different types of speed wax determine the puck speed and, consequently, the game’s difficulty. This 12ft ash wood shuffleboard comes with a relatively fast speed wax, considering the oiled finish of the playing surface. The puck glides slower than on an epoxy-finished surface, but with speed wax 2, the puck moves just as swiftly! To start playing on your new shuffleboard right away, 8 pucks are included.
