In this blog we’ll be joining one of our specialist team of fitters on an installation of a SAM Atlantic Champion Pool Table. The SAM Atlantic Champion is one of our most popular and best-selling English pool tables and a personal favourite of mine. Our entire team take huge pride in the quality of customer service provided, which we strive to maintain on a daily basis, and this recent installation was no exception.

Installing tables can often take time and patience to make sure that the table is levelled and installed correctly. Each installation that our team carry out is different, therefore experience and thorough training are required to ensure that they are best prepared for any job they encounter.

I recently joined our fitters to see what the table installation process was really like, and it was great to see the whole process from start to finish. I was particularly impressed with the level of attention to detail given by our team.

The Installation Process

The SAM Atlantic table arrives from our factory with its entire table cabinet already built, meaning our team was able to promptly get to work on arrival! First, the team started by attaching the four legs of the table to the Ply base. The table was then carefully flipped over, and the slate placed into the table and clothed. The top rail was then precisely attached, ensuring that all components of the table were flush and neatly assembled.

The final step of any installation process is levelling the table using a precision engineer’s level. Levelling a pool table is one of the most crucial parts of the installation process for obvious reasons. The entire install took 1-2 hours to complete.
